This match between two giants of the premier division had an edgy start with both teams making mistakes but it was Wroxton Sports who conceded with only 5 minutes on the clock from an excellent cross by Deddington Town's Jack Fountain into the area and a misdirected punch from the Wroxton goalkeeper Josh Meadows into his own net. As the half progressed Deddington got into their stride and dominated the play Joe Thompson scoring a second deep into the first half at the interval Deddington 2-0 Wroxton, Deddington had the ball in the net for a third time on the 50 minute mark but it was adjudged to be offside. Wroxton were a changed team in the second half taking the game to Deddington with their Sam Worboyes scoring their first goal in the 55th minute and Ouneynou Gueye scoring at 60 minutes to bring the game to two each as both teams battled to take the advantage a break gave Deddington the chance to take the lead which they did with Ashley Lowe sealing the lead at 75 minutes.
