Kineton appearing in their first Jersey Cup Final since joining the B.D.& L.J.F.A in 2004 / 5 season. The early parts of the first half were played at a frantic pace, with neither side getting on top. Both defences dominating the early exchanges. Steeple had the ball in the back of the net but was disallowed. Kineton broke the deadlock when they were awarded a corner. Chris George taking the corner at the pingle side near the Club house with a in-swinger right in the corner of the goal at the far side. A near perfect timing three minutes from the break. In the 51st minute Gregg Wragg won a important header from a deep cross which hit the post, while Alan Robinson followed up to tap the ball home from close range. Both teams strived to control the midfield area’s, but were stopped by the dominant force of the defences. Steeple continued to press forward to get back into the game, but was foiled by a great save halfway through the second half by the Kineton keeper G Challinor to deny any consolation goal for Steeple Aston. The Crowd seemed to enjoy a showlating game which concluded with Neil Pugh Kineton Centre back being awarded with the Man of the Match Cup. Subs Off C George, A Challinor, and N Pugh. Subs On J Shutt, M Maloney, N Forrest Subs Not Used L Jones, P Dymond
