KEA Utd got away to the perfect start scoring in the first minute when Danny Bone won the ball on the half way line and carried it down the right wing to send in a cross that picked out the unmarked Terry O’Neil who duly obliged.

After 25 minutes Frankie Godin set up David Horner who scored KEA’s second, Terry O’ Neil made it 3-0 on the half hour, Paul Booker nearly pulled one back before the interval when he hit the bar from a free kick.
Heyford did reduce the deficit early in the second half when Jason Loveridge had an easy tap in after a Barry Varney header had been parried by Paul Cook in the KEA goal.

It took KEA just two minutes to restore their three goal cushion when a Frankie Godin shot was helped into his own net by Heyford’s Nick Reynold’s who was making a desperate attempt at a goal line clearance.
Good work on the right wing by substitute Ian Gregor carved out the opening for David Horner to score his second goal and seal a 5-1 win for KEA.

KEA Utd have now achieved the treble of Division 1 champions, Mid-Oxon Cup winners, and Jersey Cup winners in two consecutive seasons thus emulating the achievements of Banbury Town in the Mid Seventies, and Charlton Utd in the early 80’s both of whom did this back to back treble.
