Kirtlington and Fritwell fought for the Jersey Cup on the Bicester ground on Saturday, but the fare they served up was poor. There was a great deal of wild kicking by both sets of forwards in the early part of the game. Lock scored for Kirtlington after ten minutes when a mistake by two Fritwell defenders gave him an easy task to score. Almost on the interval T. Allen took a free kick on the half-way line and the ball struck underneath the bar and entered the net.

Half-time: Kirtlington 1, Fritwell 1.

Kirtlington had the wind in their favour in the second half and had the better of the exchanges, but Humphies in the Fritwell goal, and T. Allen defended well and kept their opponents out till 20 minutes had gone, then from a center by Allaway, Lean and Humpies between them failed to clear and Lambourne cut in to score.

Result : Kirtlington 2, Fritwell 1.
