The Jersey Cup Final brought the usual large crowd to Bicester, but the game was far from exciting, owing to the unfavourable condititions. The contestants, Bletchingdon and Steeple Aston had both done well in their respective sections. Steeple Aston were the more aggressive at the start even against the wind, and after five minutes they rather luckily took the lead; Wyatt shooting from the left and the ball shot through the Bletchingdons goalies legs into the net. Steeple Aston attacked several times after this, and their opponents goal had two narrow escapes. The players found it difficult to stand on the wet ground and a hailstorm midway through this half made maters more wretched.

Half-time: Steeple Aston 1; Bletchingdon 0.

In the second half Bletchingdon gave a better display and their opponents fell away. Good work by the two young Trendalls often spelt danger to the Steeple Aston goal. H. Trendall hit the post with a grand shot, then after ten minutes, Saunders headed in for the goalie to punch out to H. Trendall, who returned the ball into the net. After half-an-hour, B. Trendall scored with a long dropping shot and the same player scored Bletchingdons third goal with a similar shot. A late rally by Steeple Aston proved futile.
